Synthetic Image generator for Image Velocimetry

As you probably know my work is related with Particle Tracking Velocimetry(PTV). Currently I'm developing new 2D and 3D algorithm. Normally, I was using the synthetics images of the Visualization Society of Japan, but I needed some special characteristics in the image that were no available. To solve this I create a Synthetic image generator for Matlab. To use it, is necessary to introduce a velocity distribution, for instance the results of Large Eddy Simulation (LES). The equations were taken from the book: "Particle Image Velocimetry" written by Mr. Raffel. If some one need the source code, please do not hesitate to contact me.

More image makers on www.ImageGenerator.org, guess the SIRDS (magic eye) stereogram geneator is closet to the dots...

  2. Hi,
Is your Synthetic Image generator released under some open source license? We'd gladly link to it from our 3dptv.github.com or www.openptv.net site. It can be become an integrated part of the future 3D-PTV development path.
